For each public YouTube playlist the tool returns the total number of videos, the sum of every video duration, the average duration per video, and estimated total watch time at 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x and 2x playback speeds.
The tool sums the individual duration of every video in the playlist as reported by YouTube. The final total is displayed in hours, minutes and seconds. Live streams and premieres that have not finished yet are skipped because they have no fixed duration.
Only public playlists work. Private playlists require authentication and cannot be analyzed anonymously. Unlisted playlists are accessible as long as you provide the full URL with the list=... parameter.
The estimates are precise: they divide the total duration by the selected speed multiplier. Real-world watch time may differ slightly if you pause the video, skip intros, or if YouTube adjusts audio pitch at higher speeds.
